It's Not Over 'Til It's Over By Tom Elder, AASP/NJ President
...AASP/NJ has been at the forefront of many battles over the years. Our most recent fight has been an ongoing one, an attempt to convince the state of New Jersey to reconsider their proposed plans for changing the state inspection program. We have made our association's stance more than clear over the past few months, between mass-mailed packets to legislators, testimony and attendance at various public hearings. A group of AASP/NJ members and supporters even got a chance to meet with NJ-MVC Administrator Sharon Harrington and staff to discuss the association's position on the proposed changes. Monica Walsh will do a much better job of explaining exactly what happened at the recent meeting but in the meantime let me give you the Reader's Digest version: The meeting was a disaster...
